Alex Clare’s song “Too Close” featured in the recent Internet Explorer campaign is only one of the addicting tracks on Clare’s album, “The Lateness of the Hour.” Clare’s rough twangy voice blends perfectly with the fast techno beats in all of his songs. “Up All Night” starts off with heavier beat than usual, which only accelerates throughout the song, giving it an almost metallic feel. I can’t help but love this high-energy song, and the way Clare seems to lose any touch of innocence his voice usually holds. Clare’s brassy voice constantly rings with confidence and emotion, giving me the only taste of techno soul music I have ever heard.
