May the fourth be with you as Star Wars day rolls around. Fans of the movie series chose this day to celebrate the characters and plot of each movie.
"My favorite Star Wars movie is 'Return of the Jedi' because it's when Luke finally masters the force and Vader is finally defeated," freshman Memphis Smith said.
"My favorite Star Wars movie has got to be the sixth one, 'Return of the Jedi,'" freshman Joey Perez said. "It's one of the best ones in the entire series because it shows Luke Skywalker's true powers and the struggle between the light and dark side."
"Of the older movies 'New Hope' is my favorite and of the newer ones 'Rogue One' is my favorite," Mrs. Miriya Julian said. "New Hope is my childhood, that's when Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker joined forces. It's just the classic Star Wars movie. In 'Rogue One' Princess Leia shows up and I just start crying and clapping. It's my childhood and it's also about standing up for what you know is right and the rebellion and having hope."
"I'm torn between choosing 'The Empire Strikes Back' or 'Rogue One' as my favorite Star Wars movie," freshman Kolby Tran said. "I love the overall feel of 'Empire' and 'Rogue One' just really shows all the pain and sacrifice in the rebellion."
"Episode 6 is definitely my favorite movie because Luke Skywalker is my favorite character," junior Seth Martinez said. "I loved the final confrontation with Vader and when he turned against the emperor, I'm like yes that's exactly what I would do."
