My name is Bree and I am the News Editor for Southwest Shadow. I am a senior in the Respiratory Therapy program. My dream is to become a Trauma Surgeon, which is why I am involved in a medical program. I am in journalism because I love to write. Writing has always been my passion. Plus, our adviser, Mr. Matthew LaPorte is an awesome and hilarious teacher and has taught me a lot since my freshman year of high school.
Today was Dapper Day where students dressed in 1920s apparel, including fancy dresses, bow ties, suits, hats and canes. The lunch activity involved eating whip cream off of a pie to find the piece of bubble gum and be the first to blow a bubble.
Students and teachers dressed up in clothes from the 50’s to celebrate the first spirit day of the week, Greaser Day. An activity was set up during first and second lunch involving a doughnut-on-a-stick.
