Opportunity Village’s Magical Forest

Walk through Opportunity Village’s Magical Forest for holiday family bonding. In this forest, you will find trees of all sizes decorated with lights and festive ornaments.  While waiting for a picture with Santa, take a ride in an enchanted train and snuggle up with a nice hot cup of cocoa.  All money raised will benefit Opportunity Village, a non-profit organization giving new experiences to people with developmental disabilities.

Glittering Lights at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Take time to enjoy the Glittering Lights at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Sit in your own car, and explore more than 400 animated displays lit by more than 2.5 miles of Christmas lights.  All proceeds will benefit the Speedway Children’s Charities, Goodwill of Southern Nevada, and the Local Boy Scout Troops.

The Glittering Lights continues through Jan. 1, 2011. Open from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and 5:30 to 10:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The price for each car is $15. Spring Preserve’s Holiday Spectacular

Spend the evening at the Springs Preserve’s Holiday Spectacular with live entertainment performances by local artists and high school madrigal singers. Take a train or reindeer (pony) ride, enjoy tasty treats, holiday arts and crafts, and even skate around on the ice rink.

The Holiday Spectacular will take place on Dec. 3, Dec. 4, Dec. 10, Dec. 11, and from Dec. 17 to Dec. 23 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Prices include $8 for adults and $5 for children under 5.  Children under 4 are free of charge. For more information visit  www.springspreserve.org

Las Vegas’ Mount Charleston

Take a sleigh ride on Las Vegas’ Mount Charleston.  All sleigh rides depart daily from the Mount Charleston Lodge. Cuddle up with loved ones as two Belgian draft horses pull a bright red sleigh through the beautiful snowy trails up the mountain. Drink a nice cup of hot cocoa and enjoy the scenery.
