Valentine’s Day is a day filled with red and pink heart decorations all around. Most people take this as an opportunity to profess their love for someone or to show their appreciation of them. However, there are some people who truly hate Valentine’s Day because they believe that love should be shown all the time, not just on one day of the year.
"This year I'm actually pretty excited for Valentine's Day because I actually have someone to spend it with," sophomore Coree Ross said. "Valentine's Day is a day to embrace love and really show someone how much you love them. I think it's a good thing."
"I like Valentine's Day because it's nice to have one day a year to give extra love to certain people," junior Aaron Ramirez said.
"I like Valentine's Day because even though I don't have someone to spend it with I still have my friends so it's always fun," sophomore Ashley Combs said. "You can spend Valentine's Day with whoever you want, there's other people to love besides a significant other."
"I think it's a cool holiday for people who have a special someone," sophomore Ahsan Fahim said. "It's a good way to rekindle feelings that you have for a person or say something to a person. I think it's the perfect day for that and I think it's good to only have it once a year."
Sophomores Zoe Chung, Shay Carnes and Kourtnee Ketchup get in the Valentine's Day spirit with kisses on the cheek. "There shouldn't be one day that we show love to someone, that should be everyday," Carnes said. "I feel like you should love everyone everyday and there shouldn't be one day for it."
