24 Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA) members will be traveling to Reno, Nev., to participate in the State Business Leaders Conference (SBLC) from April 24-26 at the Grand Sierra Resort.
“We have some students that created graphic designs for a business because it’s part of their competition,” Adviser Elena Nelson said.
In order to attend the conference, all participating members were required to pay a fee of $120. Participants will be able to compete in events and attend career or leadership related workshops.
“Since I’m competing in the job interview category, I’ve been searching up job interview questions to practice for my competition,” junior Solina Ngin said.
Students who earn a designation at the state level will be eligible to attend the National Leadership Conference (NLC) in June.
“I’m excited for state—I’ve been in FBLA for four years now and wasn’t ever able to go,” senior Jaden Bailey said. “It’s great to finally be able to.”
