Join Cirque du Soleil at the Springs Preserve for the 14th annual 5k team run or 1k individual walk on March 28.  All funds raised from this event will support the educational and environmental-sustainability programs at the Springs Preserve Foundation and Cirque du Soleil Foundation.

“I think that this event is great to be a part of it because the money goes to Cirque du Soleil and Springs Preserve, while also giving people a chance to have fun as well as do something good for a good cause,” junior Jarrod Orap said.

This annual event will feature live music by the cast and crew of Cirque du Soleil, entertainment, raffles, photo ops with performers from the company and more. All participants will receive a race bib, which will grant them access to the Springs Preserve galleries and museums.

“I think being a part of this would be so much fun because not only do you get to meet the Cirque du Soleil characters, but you also get to spend quality time with your friends and family members,” sophomore Molly Ly said.

The first 1,200 registered for the event will receive a free event t-shirt. Interested students can sign up online, as well as pay a required registration fee of $40 for the 5k run and $30 for the 1k walk.

“Being Vegas natives, we know about how amazing the Cirque du Soleil shows are and this 5k run will allow us to meet some of the people we grew up recognizing,” junior Cecilia Romero said.
