133 HOSA members engage in Halloween after-school celebration Potluck event included games, music and food

During the HOSA halloween party, freshmen Brittny Mikhaiel and Jayleen Paculan grab their food during the potluck portion of the party. Members were able to eat and participate in various activities during the party. "I think the purpose of the party is to have HOSA members have fun and appreciate that people brought. Future Health Professionals (HOSA) hosted their annual Halloween party celebration after school today in the cafeteria from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

“The goal of the party was to engage our members and have them get to know each other better since it’s our first social of the year. It’s a way to have fun and celebrate the end of first quarter,” president Krystal Chaidez said.

The holiday celebration was a potluck event and members were required to provide a dish or beverage of their choice in order to participate. Halloween costumes were also permitted during this event.

“I was so excited, I brought so much pasta that the container couldn’t fully close. All I want is for our members to let loose and remember that HOSA is a family,” secretary Kelly Bui said. “The party was all about the members and making sure we we’re all having fun.”

The meeting also consisted of music and themed activities such as “whipped cream pie gummy bear hunt,” “mummy roll” and “lime balance.”

“To make the meeting more engaging for our members, we talked to our members and asked what they looked forward to at the party. We took those requests and incorporated them in today’s party,” Chaidez said.
