Knott’s trip planned for second year

On Saturday April 21st, SWCTA will be embarking on a school wide field trip to California’s Best Amusement Park, Knott’s Berry Farm. This event will give students and teachers an opportunity to rest from a whole year of work and just hang out.

“I think it’s a good way to relax and spend time with my friends without school work on our backs,” freshman Luigi Olinarez said.

The price to go on this trip is $75. The $75 includes food, transportation, and park fees. Students must deposit $20 and complete the necessary paperwork by March 30th to reserve a seat for this trip.

“I’m really excited for this trip, I think my friends and I would have such a great time,” freshman Brook Ounphonchareune said.

Although all students who are attending this trip must pay $75, students who win the PBL Showcase get all of their expenses paid and any deposit they’ve made will be reimbursed.

“The $75 fee is really cheap, considering that I had to pay $125 during my middle school field trip,” senior Daniella Frascella said.

Students are expected to be on campus by 4:40 a.m. and buses will depart at 5 a.m. Students will arrive at the park around 10 a.m. on Saturday April 21. The buses are expected to return to SWCTA around 1 a.m. on Sunday April 22.

“This trip is a very good way for the whole school to just have fun together. I think that everyone should have the opportunity to go on this trip,” registrar Ms. Allison Schlarman said.
