WCTA hosts basketball rematch against SWCTA

West Career and Technical Academy will hold a male basketball game against SWCTA on today, Monday, 30, from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the gym. The basketball game is open to anyone interested in supporting the players.

“Our morale has been up, and we’re confident that we’ll bring home the W, and to not disappoint the school,” sophomore Jan Karell Villar said.

A total of 20 students attend basketball practices coached by Mr. Jeffrey Ball and Mr. Albert Ocampo after school, but only 12 of those students will be playing in the game on Monday.

“We have been practicing after school every Wednesday and Friday to learn our teammates’ strengths and weaknesses. As a team, we have been working hard as we’re all focused on one thing, and that is to win!” sophomore Ricardo Ascano said.

Last year, SWCTA students played against WCTA in a basketball competition and lost.

“I’m confident our students are going to win because of all their hard work and dedication they’ve put into the game,” Mr. Ball said.

There is no admission fee, so come and support your SWCTA coyotes. Any questions or concerns regarding this upcoming competition can be addressed by visiting Mr. Ball in the partnership office or speaking with Mr. Ocampo in the C building.
