Category 13: “Best music festival”

One of the largest music festivals to ever grace Las Vegas, Electric Daisy Carnival, known to most as EDC, brings several thousand fans of the electric music genre down to the Las Vegas scene. The festival lasts for one weekend during the month of June, with many different DJs headlining the shows and performances throughout the weekend nights. “EDC houses many of my favorite musicians, and I’m glad to have been able to go this year,” Robert Terch (‘16) said. The Electric Daisy Carnival that takes place every year in the Las Vegas summer heat is a highly anticipated music festival by teens and adults alike. Taking place on Jun. 20 this year, EDC is a three-day dusk to dawn festival of bass drops and neon-colored strobe lights.

“EDC looks fun because of the lights and all of the costumes that people wear,” senior Jerico Avenido said

“I actually appreciate the music and I won’t just go for the fun and the costumes. All of my favorite DJs are usually at EDC so I am excited to be of age,” junior June Santos said.

“I am going to try to go to EDC this year, but mostly for the costumes because I think that costumes are my niche and I am excited to make my own,” senior Alexis Kenney said.
