“One social stigma I think society needs to get “One social stigma I think society needs to get over is related to race. When a person is uneducated, or unknown of any cultures and where a person comes from, they’ll place them in a stereotyped bubble of what they know. For example, someone who doesnt know much about Asia, and will see an Asian person, and will assume they are Chinese. And when you correct them of their actual ethnicity, they’ll say, ‘They are all the same,’ - not knowing it can be offensive to the person you do not know, assuming their race/ethnicity and saying they’re all the same. Same goes for any race, without taking your time of day to atleast understand/be educated can really come off as disrespectful.” Aleinna Ordonio Class of 2023
