The last week in sports has been action-packed in every sense of the phrase, so let’s take a look back.
LOCAL SPORTS:
The Las Vegas Golden Knights won all three of their games last week—managing to beat the Edmonton Oilers, the Anaheim Ducks, and the Dallas Stars. The Knights kicked off the week with a close 1-0 win against the Oilers and a 4-1 win against the Ducks before ending off the week with a 3-2 win against the Stars.
The Las Vegas Raiders took another tragic loss, this time against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The game kicked off with the Bucs scoring a devastating two touchdowns in the first quarter. Both within quick succession, the first being in the 8th minute and the second in the 3rd minute. Vegas didn’t get a touchdown until the 9th minute of the second quarter.
NFL:
The Los Angeles Rams made a splash on Sunday by winning 44-42 against the Buffalo Bills. For reference, the Bills haven’t lost a game since the beginning of October, so a team sitting with a 7-6 win to loss record beating a division leader is a big deal. The Rams took possession of the ball at the beginning of the game and took the first touchdown in the 9th minute before letting the Bills through to take one in the third minute. The Bills and Rams went head-to-head through the second and third quarters before the Bills took a dominant 21 points in the fourth quarter to the Ram’s zero. The quarter put them in a dominant position, but they still lost by two points.
MOTORSPORTS:
The Formula 1 season is over. The Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix took place last Sunday, which was won by Lando Norris and followed by Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc. McLaren came away from the finale with 366 points to claim the Constructors’ Title over Ferrari.
THIS WEEK:
This week the Las Vegas Raiders don’t play a game. Their next game is next week on Monday against the Atlanta Falcons at the Allegiant Stadium.
The Golden Knights also play their regular three-game schedule against the Winnipeg Jets, the Edmonton Oilers, and the Minnesota Wild.
