CLUB PREVIEW: A LOOK INTO THE WEEK OF OCTOBER 31
ESports, Culture Club, Filipino Club meeting this week

Continuing with their practice and competitions, ESports president Carl Reiner plans to further advance the teams’ Splatoon 3 skills, though they aren’t looking for any new members..
“We organize scrims with other teams if we want to, or the ones that are playing at our school,” Reiner said. “We have four teams and we were all in the top five.”
With new competitions each week, Reiner plans to prove their skill within the match.
“The Southwest Squids are still on top but the other three teams got mutilated,” Reiner said. “We’re facing the only undefeated team that isn’t us [this] week.”
Culture Club, H121, every other Tuesday
Spending each week focusing on different cultures, President Rianna Rivera plans to dive into Italian culture.
“We’re going to strictly focus on just Italian culture,” Rivera said. “We’re gonna watch an Italian film and take notes off of that.”
On top of watching a film, Rivera plans to enjoy Italian delicacies with their club members.
“We’re also going to be doing a feasting,” Rivera said. “We’re going to be eating different kinds of Italian foods such as pasta, breadsticks and pizza from Pizza Hut.”
Filipino Club, D101, every other Wednesday
Because the Filipino Club was recently introduced, introductions to the board and coming up with fresh ideas.
“This week, we’re gonna start with our introductions and learning about our board members,” Sergeant of Arms Dwayne Soria said. “I’m gonna be asking everyone what they would like as fundraisers.”
After learning more about the club, Soria and the rest of the board plan to host fun activities with the club members.
“We’re gonna be playing a game called Hip Hip Hooray, which is a Filipino game,” Soria said. “We’ll also do karaoke because we’ve been doing karaoke for the past few meetings as well.”
