The cinematography is fantastic, as well as the color grading and the script. I could watch it for hours. The entire plot is fantastic, it’s about someone who just wants to be seen. Close second is 21 Jump Street.”

“I feel like I would never not have something to do,” Aleeya Atkins-Dowd (‘27) said. “In the way that music is always there. I’m usually bored but I have music and I could just listen to it and vibe. The way certain artists piece together words or beats or soundtracks make the song better. I would say the artist I’m most connected to right now is Tyler The Creator because he’s just himself. There’s people that talk about how weird he is, but he doesn’t care and he just makes music and does whatever. So his music really resonates with me and makes me laugh or feel better when I feel down.”

“My favorite fast food place is Jollibee,” Kalvin Delos Reyes (‘26) said. “I love Jollibee because of their spaghetti and peach pie. Usually, after school, I walk there and enjoy a combo meal. The food is always made quickly and freshly and it’s my favorite.”

“If I could have any superpower, it would be time manipulation so I could save time and fast forward to tedious situations in the future,” Sihua Lyu (‘26) said. “I could pause time to spend time with my loved ones, such as friends and family. “In 10 years, I hope that I’ll have my bachelor’s degree in business from Johnson and Wales University, have been to multiple countries studying abroad, and that I’m happy with what I’m doing with my life. In 10 years, I’ll be 27,” Amaia Frank (‘25) said. “Hopefully I would be a home-owner and I would be one of those people who are always hosting so I can keep in contact with all of my friends and family that I don’t see often. By that time, I’d want to have a job and a family that I love and appreciate everyday and take nothing for granted.”

“One piece of advice I wish I was given is to advocate more for yourself,” Rebeka Dawit (‘25) said. “Especially when it comes to getting the classes you want to take, because even if you’re scared, at the end of the day it is for your own benefit.”
