"I've been there every year," senior Marco Farinas said. "I'm going there for Environmental Club because our theme is zombie hordes. So, I'm there to help deliver the candy."

Posing for a photo, sophomore Gabreen Tabernilla is dressed up for Trunk or Treat in matching costumes with her friends last year. Families and students were allowed to dress up when attending the event as long as they followed CCSD dress code policies. “I’m mostly looking forward to making new memories with my recent friends I’ve made,” Tabernilla said. “I enjoy the separation from education. It connects us, gives us a break and an opportunity to have fun with costumes and candy, also hanging out with friends and family outside of school.”

“Not really. I feel like I didn’t prepare as much as I should have, such as certain topics like English or reading even though we had practice during class," junior Ceejay Canto said. "I should have taken time out of my day to get some books and to practice more testing strategies."

"Personally I'm going to get really bored, but I don't see myself switching to a different app," junior Laila Rogers said. "I've been thinking I've needed a break from TikTok for a while now, so this is really just an excuse for me to take that break. It'll probably be really good for me."

“I hung out with my family and loved ones, eating really, really good food," junior Mia Musemici said. "I had the best mac and cheese ever. I had brisket and pulled pork, turkey, loaded mashed potatoes and some good pie for dessert. Me and my family stayed in, but I also went to my boyfriend's house for his family's Thanksgiving. It was amazing. We played some family games, doing some holiday traditions.”

"I'm watching it with my sister," sophomore Marleena Tabayan said. "I've never seen the Broadway version, but I grew up with the soundtrack. I have memories of her singing it out randomly so I love that we're watching it together."
