Using a stirring rod, sophomore Joyce Harbeston mixes in the salt and water placed in the test tube. There were a total of twelve stations that the students needed to complete. “I was trying to be very careful [the whole time],” Harbeston said. “For this lab, we put a few drops of silver nitrate into the test tube, which could stain your skin. The mixture ended up turning into this foam, which floated to the top of the water.”
