MEMORABLE MOMENT
"I was in Web Design. For the first few years my favorite part was graphic design. Then, once we got Ms. Snow as our teacher, she really made it a priority to bring our class together as a team, so my favorite part became the bond I had with her and the rest of my peers in web."
HOW WAS YOUR TIME DIVIDED IN HIGH SCHOOL?
FUTURE PLANS NOW
WHAT YOU WISH YOU WERE TOLD
"My most memorable moment was walking into my junior prom. I was the class president which meant I got to take on the task of planning prom during my junior year with the help of my class adviser and my junior class leadership team. After so much time and effort was poured into planning this important event, when I entered the venue and saw everything come together for the first time, I almost cried."
FUTURE PLANS AT THE TIME
CLASS OF 2018
"I wish I was told to really take time to appreciate things like school dances, spirit days, and assemblies. I am three years into college and I can definitely say there have been many times where I thought to myself how much I missed spirit weeks and dress up days.I have thought many times about how fun it would be to get dressed up for a school dance again."
HOW IS YOUR TIME DIVIDED NOW?
"I will be graduating in Spring 2022! After that, I am planning on working either in a resource room or a self-contained classroom. I would like to work at a middle school. I am hoping to stay here in CCSD after graduating."

CURRENT JOB
"When I started high school I really wasn’t sure what I wanted to do, but I knew it couldn’t hurt to learn about computers, so that’s why I chose web design. I was coaching a soccer league designed to include children with disabilities at that time, which influenced my decision to teach someday. The more opportunities I had to work with students, the more it confirmed that I wanted to be a teacher, specifically in special education!"
"I am currently in my third year at UNLV studying special education. I was a support staff substitute for the school district for two years, and worked every week in various self contained autism classrooms. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, I am no longer subbing for CCSD. On top of focusing on my own education right now, I am helping my younger brother with distance learning and I am preparing for my field experience (experience working with a resource room teacher) next semester."
