Packing Lifehacks By: Hannah Paine

After a year of not being able to travel, remembering the most efficient ways to pack your bag can be difficult. Here are a few hacks that will help you pack for almost every travel occasion.

Straw and Necklace Hack

Packing a million necklaces is common for me, but they also always get tangled in a knot and take forever to undo. This hack has saved me so much time and energy, plus I never have to worry about my jewelry being wrapped in a ball. The only issue is, a normal straw doesn't work for every kind of necklace. If a charm is placed in one specific place, you can't make a straw go all the way around without cutting it, or if a chain is thicker, a thicker straw is required.

Stuffing Shoes Hack

I have seen this hack in a few places, but it never really stood out to me. I am someone who had to pack their shoes by stuffing them in any extra space, but I have always worried about my nicer pairs being smooshed. This hack would be helpful when you put your shoes at the bottom of your bag, but not when you throw them in the front pocket of your bag.

Daily Packing Hack

As someone who packs too many extra things, I thought this hack would be helpful, but it came with some downsides. Thicker pants or shirts don't fit in the bag and if you are someone with double dips with clothing items, having everything in certain bags wouldn't work. For me, I am never sure what I actually want to wear each day, so this hack wouldn't exactly make sense. However, if you are going on a few day road trip, I bet it would be perfect.
