Sleep is regarded as one of the most essential components of health. Not sleeping enough can result in weight gain, poor brain function, and other negative effects. Here are five tips that will help your body fall asleep and recharge.
2. TAKE LESS NAPS
Napping can be very helpful as it promotes relaxation, less fatigue, and a better mood. However, long and irregular naps can result in insomnia or poor sleep quality. In order to have a good night's sleep, it is best to take short naps or none at all.
4.Don't use devices right before bed
While it is tempting to scroll on your phone right before bed, doing so can actually prevent you from falling asleep. Devices emit a blue light that causes less melatonin, a hormone that causes sleepiness, to be secreted. This means that it will take longer to fall asleep as the body will feel alert instead of tired.
5.EXERCISE
Not only does exercise lead to better mood, increased self-esteem, and physical fitness, but it can also improve the quality of one's sleep. Basically, exercise tires the body out as it has to use more energy, therefore, you will feel more sleepy at bedtime. After all, exercise is a great remedy for insomnia.
