Three Recipes with Only Five Ingredients Carmen Ruiz

Buying and prepping ingredients when trying new recipes can get tiring and time-consuming. Cooking recipes often at times involve using many dishes. Here are three easy recipes, each made with only five ingredients that you probably already have in your kitchen.

#1: Cinnamon Fruit Biscuits

  • One-half cup of sugar
  • One-half teaspoon of cinnamon
  • One-fourth cup of melted butter
  • One-fourth cup of strawberry preserves
  • One six-ounce can of biscuit dough

Rating: 7/10 - It tasted like an upgraded version of biscuits and jelly. It would be better if it had another element to make it stand out; it felt a little too simple.

#2: Toasted Ravioli Bites

  • 24 refrigerated ravioli
  • One tablespoon of Italian salad dressing
  • One tablespoon of Italian-style panko bread crumbs
  • One tablespoon of grated Parmesan cheese
  • Warm marinara sauce

Rating: 8/10 - Baking the ravioli in the oven gave it a nice puffed-up and crunchy texture. I would recommend using beef and cheese-filled ravioli to make this dish even better.

#3: Lemon Pepper Chicken Drumsticks

  • Three pounds of chicken wings
  • Three tbsp olive oil
  • One-quarter cup of lemon pepper seasoning
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • One-quarter cup butter

Rating: 9/10 - I enjoyed making the lemon pepper drumsticks because the cooking process was very inactive. It would have been better if a little bit more of the garlic flavor came through.
