13 days until the beginning of the new school year, the Clark County School Board has mandated that all students and staff members in CCSD schools will be forced to wear masks when indoors or in buses. Following new counsel from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention that masking may be necessary in the face of new variants, namely, the Delta variant, many have pushed for a reinstatement of mask mandates.
“Once again, the District is committed to opening schools for all students for in-person learning, while promoting the health and safety of all students and staff,” the announcement said. “We will continue to monitor the health data in our community to make informed decisions regarding the implementation of mitigation strategies.”
