Instagram CEO AdamMosseri has proposed the idea of hiding Instagram likes from certain users to test out the affect on the public’s mental health. Mosseri said “We will make decisions that hurt the business if they help people’s well-being and health….It means we’re going to put a 15-year-old kid’s interests before a public speaker’s interest.” Influencers who make a living off of Instagram may have a difficult time adjusting to the new algorithm.
