Flint, Michigan still has yet to receive clean and safe water after the city’s water supply was switched from Detroit city water to water from the Flint river. Two hours away from Flint, Nestlé is pumping the state’s clean water into water bottles and selling them for a profit. Nestle can’t be blamed for doing their job, but they can be blamed for selling back water to people who are dependent on it, to no fault of their own— especially after Nestlé chairman claimed that the company believes, “the access to water is a basic human right.”
