"One thing that sets me apart differently from everyone else would be my cooking," Natasha Pisitaro ('24) said. "I love cooking different types of food, especially simple Asian foods like Japanese onigiri and Thai spring rolls. I had to help my mom cook at an early age, which eventually led me into my passion for cooking. Although I enjoy the cooking process itself and tasting my own meals, the best part about it all is spending time with my mom. We both love cooking and it is something we can share together."

"My favorite vacation is probably my trip to the Philippines last summer," Jasmin Wenger ('24) said. "It was my first time going, so I got to try a variety of new foods, visit different beaches, and do a multitude of activities like parasailing, going on a banana boat and meeting my family!"

"My favorite moment from a concert I have been to is when I met my favorite group face-to-face in April of last year," Mia Mendez ('27) said. "The reason is how much they inspire me and shape me as a person since I have listened to that group since their 1st album came out. It felt so unreal when I saw them so close and was able to share how much I love their music individually to each member. It is a moment I will never forget ."

“My favorite flowers are definitely tulips,” Katrina Parco (‘24) said. “They’re spring flowers, which is one of my favorite seasons. Also, they’re really colorful and visually appealing to look at. I’d love to be able to grow my own tulips and decorate my house with them in the future.”

“Being a senior is honestly something I didn’t think I’d enjoy, but to my surprise, it’s amazing,” Owen Sherrick (‘24) said. “The best part about it is enjoying the time I have with my friends. This only happens once in life, and it’s a beautiful experience. I truly don’t know what the future holds for me, which I why this time in my life is one I will forever remember."

“In my life, I think the thing that would hold most value to me would be my love for my bunny,” Anganell Johnson (‘25) said. “I love my family and friends, but nothing compared to the help he’s given me. He doesn’t talk or anything. He just listens and comforts me. I love to come home every day to cuddle him and spend time with him.”

"I like the song Dark Red by Steve Lacy," Zoe Garcia ('26) said. "It's just such a good song. The lyrics speak so well, and I really love the rhythm of it."

“For spring break, I went to Italy and England, and it was so fun," Libby Newbry ('24) said. “ I love history, so getting to walk around Rome and seeing some of the oldest buildings in the world was so cool! The coliseum was magnificent and such a wonder to see. It is insane to me that it was built almost 2,000 years ago. The other part of the trip that was memorable to me was getting to visit the Harry Potter sound stages where they kept a lot of sets from the movies, I am kind of a Harry Potter nerd so I loved every second of being there! I got to see several original sets like the Gryffindor common room and so much more. It was a trip I will never forget!”

"I collect anything that is Hello Kitty and Pikachu," Airanece Retana Walker ('27) said. "Such as plushies, bags, jewelry, blankets, small figures, and mouse pads. I started collecting them because when I was little, I loved playing Pokemon Go with my mom. And I really like Hello Kitty because she reminded me of my younger self."

"The concert that I had the best experience at was the Joji Pandemonium show here in Las Vegas," Tyrah Lamay ('25) said. "I loved it because I was at barricade with my best friends, and I caught a towel he threw into the crowd!"

"One thing that makes me happy is whenever I’m around my friends," Vivian Nie ('27) said. "They understand me and are always open to providing support. I enjoy their company because I’m able to be myself, knowing they will not judge me."

"One thing that I’m passionate about is art and animation," Isaiah Rondez ('25) said. "I find it fun to draw in general because it can be pretty relaxing. I got into it during middle school when the pandemic happened because I had a lot of free time, and I thought that it would be a cool hobby to pick up. I heard from somewhere that SWCTA had an animation class as part of their program, so I applied to the school and got more into drawing and animation once I got in."

"It was something so small, but that really impacted me because my smile is one of my bigger insecurities. To have someone say it made me come across as kind made a real difference in the way I view it and my myself."

"Something that instantly makes my day better are my friends," Elise Chan ('25) said. " I could be having the worst day ever, and being around them would cheer me up. They always know how to make me feel better and smile."

“My favorite outfit is a long sleeve blue button up with white linen pants," Yara Ahmed ('27) said. "I love how the colors go together and the bagginess of both clothing pieces. I feel most confident whenever I wear this outfit.”

"I would say one of my hobbies is baking," Carmen Yap ('26) said. "I started baking with my mom when I was really little, and I’ve been doing it ever since. I love baking itself, but my favorite part is sharing the things I make with the people I love."

"The coolest place I have traveled to is Taipei, Taiwan," Alexis Hsi ('26) said. "I would always go there when I was little, and my grandparents would bring me along their trips. The city is big and full of people and the lights are beautiful, especially at night. For transportation, there was an underground subway that allowed passengers with a coin that acts as an ID. I’d always feel great in Taiwan because the weather is always cloudy/rainy, which is also my favorite kind of weather. I always enjoy my trips there, and I would definitely go back."

"I want to say Vegas appeals to me just because I live here," Stacie Blum ('25) said. "It's super boring, but it's like I have a lot of memories here, and everybody I know is here that or Mississippi. Biloxi [is also appealing] because that's where the rest of my family lives. Usually we go for Bayou wars, which is a Wargaming convention in like Biloxi. My dad hasn't missed one and so it's fun. We get to see them."
