Every style requires updates during winter and streetwear fashion is no exception.
Starting to prepare the garden, sophomore Adrienne Vera-Perez helps to collect soil samples. The club has been gathering samples to determine when to plant certain crops in the garden. “We take a bunch of soil to test the pH and if it would be good for growing in Mrs. Horner's classroom,” Vera-Perez said. “We realized that it wouldn’t be the best time to plant stuff in the garden right now. That’s going to be something we do later in the year, probably after winter break.”

Members of Key Club were tasked with helping create decorations and donate candy for the school’s Trunk or Treat event for the opportunity to gain service hours. “I thought that my decorations turned out really cute and I felt proud knowing that they were going to use something I made during the event,” sophomore Joy Park said, “It was so much fun spending time with friends and coming up with scenarios about our drawings.”

While the idea of becoming a teenage content creator sounds intriguing, I’ve learned over the years that it’s ultimately not worth it.

Abarico and other culinary students will be taking a field trip to learn more about the food industry.. “Sysco and Newport are both food purveyors and supply a lot of the ingredients we purchase,” Culinary teacher Chef Michael Hadobas said. “We’ve been working with the Nevada Restaurant Association for six weeks now to plan this trip, and I think it is something we will do every year.”

In school libraries across the United States, students are increasingly affected by new-age book bans that overwhelmingly target LGBTQ+ titles.

It was the first car he ever owned and considered a classic car at the time, and even more so now. “I’ve always been with cars,” Byrant said. “Back in my day when you were fifteen you had a drivers license. My parents bought me a 1964 TR4, it was broken, it didn’t have an engine, and I rebuilt it myself, that’s how I got into it. I’ve always loved cars, engines, things that go fast, in a straight line, 400 mph in about 2 seconds.”

Becoming a meme has launched “Kagura Bachi” into the center of the manga world stage despite its infancy.
During both lunches, BSU historian Rediate Hunde sells tickets to students to watch the upcoming volleyball tournament. The tournament will take place after school in the gym where students can watch the competition and cheer on their friends. “I might be a referee or I might just be a spectator, but for the most part I’m going to be watching and helping around,” Hunde said. “I’m excited to see school spirit and involvement, people actually having fun, people having something to look forward to after school and bringing that sport element to our school.”

BSU HOSTS VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT

Following a vulnerability in the CCSD network that was allegedly exploited by a hacker group, student information and digital infrastructure in the district has been threatened.
"One of my best friends is flying in from New York, and we're going to hang out, " Fashion Design teacher Levi Harbeson said. "The F1 race is on The Strip, so we're going to try to avoid it as much as possible. My friend does want to see the Sphere though, so we're going to go see the movie experience at least."
