Travis McGinnis, Shadow Files Director

Hi, I’m Travis. This is my third and final year as a staff member for the Southwest Shadow, and my second as an editor for The Shadow Files! I’m super excited to keep growing the broadcast section and bring new stories to light :).

Hey, I’m Travis. The Southwest Shadow has been my magnum opus, where I’ve spent the past three years building up the Shadow Files from nothing, but I've also spent time joining Unit Two of “We The People”, where we just recently made school history, and I’ve also joined the occasional random club meeting whenever I got bored. In the near future I’m taking my skills to Santa Clarita and will attend California State University, Northridge for a bachelors in Journalism with a focus on Broadcasting.

The Southwest Shadow has treated me well, and I find myself grasping at any bit of time I have left to make contributions to it. This program does something to you. You have a nice outfit today.”

"I'd say my first day of school [has been] pretty good," senior Hunter Anderson said. "It is probably one of my favorite first days of school. I really like getting to see all my friends that I haven't seen in a long time to catch up. I really like all the teachers that I got. Not every year has been the best, but this year is very promising."

"It's just a lot of the same stuff again," Elise Chan said. "But you know it always changes each year because, I got put in different classes, but, you know, I've had a good introduction to all my teachers...
