Stoney’s Prom Finally ‘Sees the Light’

Close to 500 students attended the event at this new venue.
Aiding her students in the pursuit of dentistry, Dr. Cynthia Wong teaches her students how to use dental tools. This is Wong’s first year teaching dental. “When Dr. Wong took over, she immediately started preparing us for the end of the program,” junior Dj Pantic said. “She was always there if someone had a question and wouldnt mind helping anyone having trouble doing labs/projects. Im grateful to have Dr. Wong as my teacher because she was the reason I passed my end of program.”

Donating an old t-shirt, sophomore Aleyah Hilario adds to her classes donation box. During the week of Mar. 14, Student Council members collected old t-shirts to turn them into dog toys. ”I think it’s nice that theyre reusing these old shirts that no one uses to make toys for dogs,” Hilario said. “We should recycle as much as we have instead of just throwing it away and piling up the waste.  With a passion for baking since her childhood, sophomore Daniela Hernandez has started a business making and selling a variety of sweets, including cupcakes and cookies. “I started making cupcakes, trying different recipes flavors, just things that I wanted to do things and that I liked,” Hernandez said. “It kind of just started from there and ever since Ive been just taking orders and like delivering them. Ive been getting some great feedback and its been fun.”
