‘What Animal Are You?’ Contest

National Wildlife Week is in April. There are many species of animals found in all facets of life, in the depths of the ocean, up in trees, buried in the ground. The Southwest Shadow staff would like to know, if you could be any animal, which animal would you choose to be?

  • Comment on this post what animal you would be and why.
  • Entries must be school appropriate
  • Students must log-in to comment (make sure your username is your first and last name)
  • The winner will be chosen by the editorial staff of the Southwest Shadow. Entries will close on April 30  at 11:59 p.m.

When you ask “What animal are you?” I can only perceive ONE creature that towers above the rest. The blobfish. It is typically thought that this eldritch horror is ugly beyond compare, and it is, UNLIKE the editors of the SW Shadow. I am the blob fish, the blob fish is me. I am the blob fish, the blob fish is me. I am the blob fish, the blob fish is me.

I would be an owl because owls are known for their knowledge and wisdom. I am good at advising those around me and I usually have good intuition when it comes to the people I surround myself with.

I would be a tardigrade because I can adapt to anything and survive the vacuum of space. I also feel like a little water bear sometimes.

If I could be any animal, I would be a silly little cockatiel just like my pet bird Pebble. We can fly all around my house and hang out together 24/7 😀
