To give students a chance to make up for their absences, NHS will be hosting a positive attendance meeting.
“Right now, we have a movie and a time-capsule activity for leap year planned for our positive attendance meeting,” President Angeline Roldan said. “For the time-capsule activity, the members will be writing letters to open for themselves on the next leap-year.”
Last week, NHS also sent out invitations to students who meet the requirements to apply for NHS.
We just finished sending out 300 letters to NHS candidates,” Roldan said. “They will now have some time to fill out their applications to be reviewed by the Faculty Council. Hopefully, we will be seeing the next chapter of NHS being inducted by March.”

Adviser: Maritza De La Fuente
Room: C124
Crochet Club will be starting their Valentine’s Day project.
“Our next club meeting is focusing on Valentine-themed stuffed hearts,” President Adrianna Boyd said. “I plan to bring some fluffy yarn for them so they can crochet stuffed animals or stuffed hearts if they want.”
They also plan on going over opportunities that could happen in the future.
“We will be focusing on future plans, club fees, and future projects that I will be trying to get them to be open to,” Boyd said. “The club fee will bring more options to the table such as making bigger projects, or making a fluffy yarn project that will be super fun to do.”
