The club will be focusing on making ribbon leis for Filipino teachers to show their appreciation.
“This month is Filipino American Heritage Month,” Vice President Tyler Moran said. “We want to be able to make something to give to those Filipino teachers here on campus, so we’re gonna make them some ribbon leis to say thanks.”
Members will also be tasked in helping to complete the design for the Trunk or Treat event.
“Since Trunk or Treat is coming up, we’re gonna be making decorations with our members.” Moran said. “This year our theme is Jollibee and we’re gonna be making decorations that are geared towards their design during the meeting.”

Poly Club will focus on the upcoming Trunk or Treat event and will be creating their trunk this week.
“We will be having our members start working on our Trunk or Treat decorations,” President Ghiada Ferraer said. “Our theme this year is Corpse Bride. We’re going to be making things like trees, butterflies and just anything else that we can think of.”
The club will also be holding practicing their performance at the annual PA/DA game, with new members joining the dances.
“Some of our other members, including myself, will be practicing our PA/DA performance,” Ferraer said. “We are looking forward to the PA/DA performance because we have some new girls performing. They’re very excited about it. We have a new girl dancing Tahitian for the first time, so she’s very excited for it.”
Future Business Leaders of America, 1st and 3rd Thursdays
Adviser: Ronald Barranco
Room: C102
The club will continue preparation for the rest of the year, with upcoming fees and events for members to keep in mind.
“We don’t have much [planned] yet,” Executive Vice President Carmen Yap said. “We’re just going to remind our members about past due fees, upcoming events, and give them the opportunity to start getting in their community service hours by helping out with trunk or treat preparation.”
Like many other clubs, members attending will spend a larger portion of the meeting working together to brainstorm and create a trunk for the upcoming Trunk or Treat event.
“We’re allowing the members a lot of creative freedom with the designs and decoration,” Yap said. “I’m excited to see what they come up with. We decided to have Boss Baby as our Trunk or Treat theme, with our members brainstorming and designing decorations to match our theme to make our trunk the best it can be.”
