As Halloween steadily approaches and the leaves turn crisp while the nights grow chilly, it brings up the long-standing question: What is the best Halloween candy? Whether it’s a chocolatey, fruity, or chewy treat, the Southwest Shadow would like to hear your opinion. The winner is Avalon Triplett.

The best Halloween candy is anything Hersey’s it did have the highest levels of lead after all and a bit of cadmium as an added bonus. Hershey’s the company comes from Pennsylvania just like the groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil whom everyone knows to be amazing, and of course anything within his vicinity must also be great. For over a hundred years the groundhog’s intuition has been trusted why now would he be wrong. Hershey’s must be aware of this fact and trust the groundhog. That is why they are successful and why it is the best Halloween candy.

Personally, I would say that Kit Kat is one of if not the best candies not just for Halloween but of all time. I enjoy the sweet yet not over powering milk chocolate that surrounds the outside and in-between the layers. The best part of the Kit Kat though is the crunchy, sweet, and very addicting wafers that are sandwiched in between the layers of chocolate. With all of these amazing additions it truly makes for an amazing small yet very fulfilling treat. I mean come on who wouldn’t love sweet, crunchy, chocolate goodness. Aside from that, the name is catchy with great bright red packaging appealing to the ear as well as to the eye.

Although my personal favorite is Twizzlers, the BEST HALLOWEEN CANDY is Nerds. Who doesn’t get excited when you see the small pink or purple box of rock candy in their bucket or bag by the night’s end? Nerds have been a staple Halloween candy for a majority of trick-or-treaters and can be enjoyed by all.

I think that the best candy to man has got to be Reese’s Cups. Just think, you get that original classic chocolate taste with an extra flavour of peanut butter. Now don’t get me wrong, I hate peanut butter just as much as the next person but Reese’s is the only exception. They are captavating, I can’t just eat one I have to grab like 15 more. The only thing I can excuse if you disagree is if your allergic to peanut butter. But maybe the candy is worth it.

Hear me out. Snickers are THE BEST Halloween candy. They either come in the full size or the tiny bite size ones which you feel good eating them without feeling like you’ve cheated your diet for the week TOO much. They are already an S+ tier candy and getting these in your Halloween bucket will make your entire Halloween. Now don’t get me started on freezing them because that is a completely different story. So with that, I stand on my opinion of Snickers being THE BEST HALLOWEEN CANDY.

The best known candy to man is Sour Patch Kids. Hear me out. When you take the first bite, you get that puckery sour feeling, then after that is the sensational sweetness that punches you in the face. Sour, sweet, gone. It’s an addictive feeling I can’t seem to get enough of. It’s something worth digesting red 40 and yellow 5.
