My favorite movies change quite often, but right now one of my favorites is Fight Club. I just recently watched it again after a long time, and I forgot how good it was. It has an amazing plot twist, and I love how each time you watch it, you notice things you didn’t notice the last time.

My personal favorite is the 1986 movie ‘Stand By Me’. It’s a sort of sad movie about a guy whos writing about an adventure him and his friends went on. After finding out about a body found in the woods the four boys set off the find it. They go through the forest and eventually find this kid and lay him to rest. Throughout this journey they go through problems and tests as friends and after they aren’t the same. It’s funny yet sad but really teaches you about the importance of time and friendship. The guy, Gordie LaChance steps in to narrate the story from time to time as it continues, reminding Audience that this whole movie is a flashback. He describes his friendship with the others, Vern, Teddy, and Chris as the story continues. This crisp yet carefree movie is a must watch for everybody!!

My favorite movie is The Lego Batman, this movie spins a whole new story on the classic batman vs the joker tale. With a great cast including Michael Cera, Jenny Slate, Zach Galifianakis, Mariah Carey, Channing Tatum, Connor O’Brien, and Will Arnett. This movie is absolutely heartbreaking, in the very beginning Batman describes how he doesn’t “hate” the joker and how he “doesn’t do ships- as in relationships” this is a reference to the ship ‘batjokes’ that has been popular in the fandom witch had never been previously responded to in official DC media. In Batman media from comics to the movies the joker is commonly referenced as the odd ‘queer’ villain pinning over Batman to get his attention, however in the Lego Batman his advances towards Batman are not only accepted but reciprocated. throughout the movie they constantly show both the joker and Batman in despair over not ‘fighting’ witch is used as a euphemism for dating, Batman even at one point saying that he likes “fighting around” and that’s why the joker isn’t his greatest enemy. At the end of the movie the joker and Batman save Gotham city together by holding hands and pulling it together. when the city is saved they have a heart to heart expressing how they ‘hate’ each other more than the other does in the common ‘no, I love you more’ format. The queer coding in this move is insane. the lego batman is my favorite toxic situationship movie, the love i know they feel for each other fuels my love for this movie, i could quote all of it from my heart.

My favorite movie is the 2013 film, The Great Gatsby. The film has amazing visual storytelling, with stunning sets, costumes, and cinematography that transport viewers to the vibrant world of 1920s New York. Leonardo DiCaprio’s portrayal of Gatsby is iconic, capturing the character’s complexity, charm, and tragic vulnerability. The entire cast delivers strong performances, bringing depth to their characters. The film explores timeless themes of love, class, and the American Dream, resonating deeply with audiences. It beautifully captures the essence of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel while offering a modern interpretation. Baz Luhrmann’s direction is energetic and engaging, blending period music with modern pop to create a unique soundtrack that complements the film’s emotional highs and lows.

My favorite movie is Sonic the Hedgehog 3. This movie just makes me feel so much joy in my soul. This movie is so good that it brought Jim Carrey out of retirement so he could play 2 different characters. Jim Carrey performs so well in the film, I love him; he’s so silly. Shadow the Hedgehog is such a perfect character. He’s voiced by Keanu Reeves, who does such an incredible job portraying the character. The movie handles heavy topics like grief in such a fantastic way. Every character is treated with such love by the directors; everyone gets their moment to shine. The parallels between Sonic and Shadow are awesome, and the last act of the film is epic, especially for any hardcore Sonic fan. They treat the source material with so much respect, and the directors clearly (or at least it seems like they do) love what they’re doing and are passionate about it. It also just reminds me of my best friend and that’s another important thing for me. It’s not the greatest movie of all time, but it is very important to me for a plethora of reasons, and it’s the kind of movie that I just love.

One of my favorite movies is Talladega Nights the Ballad of Ricky Bobby. Its a nascar movie with Will Ferrell and its a comedy masterpiece. All the stupid jokes in it always makes it really fun to watch.

My favorite movie that I ever watched was Interstellar. I had always heard people talking about that movie but it was only when I randomly came across it on Netflix one day that I decided to watch it. The visuals in that 5th dimension scene were SO cool. That movie makes me cry every time and can I just say Matthew Mcconaughey played this role beautifully. EVERYONE NEEDS TO WATCH INTERSTELLAR (at least once).

The Raid is a film that I love watching with all of my buddies. I watch with different friends each time and they all love this movie’s action. My favorite scene is the one where they fight in that long hallway; the action in this scene is very fluid despite all the hard cuts and I am blown away by the editing work each time. It genuinely surprises me that the director was only known for documentaries before this. The Raid is no doubt my favorite martial arts movie of all time!

The Shawshank Redemption is a film that truly changed me as a person. It is such a powerful and timeless movie that has so many good messages in it and quotes. It is based on a Stephen King short story of the same name. Having recently watched it for the first time, I am so happy that I was able to experience this timeless classic, and I hope more people decide to give it a watch someday!

My favorite movie as of right now would probably be Spiderman Into the Spider verse, the first movie, because for one I love hybrid animation in general, it had a unique style that revolutionized the animation industry and it was intriguing with memorable characters, as it heavily took its style from comics. And the soundtrack is amazing, visually you can take a screenshot from wherever in the movie and you can turn into a poster or wallpaper.
