Stress is an inevitable feeling that can be caused from facing big changes, having too many responsibilities at once or feeling uncertain with everything going on around you. Play Video Games

Coming home from a busy day only to realize that I still have homework to complete can become stressful. One hack that I've tried was to do something that I enjoy, such as playing video games. I like to take a break from anything school related for a few hours to play first-person shooter games with my friends. Talking to my friends and playing video games with them refreshes my mind from all of the worries that I have. Although I sometimes lose track of time while playing video games, I noticed that I perform better on the assignments that I have to complete, since I don't feel as stressed anymore.

Practice Mindfulness

There are many ways to practice mindfulness such as meditating, deep breathing or doing yoga. Although I do not have the greatest attention span, I practiced meditating and deep breathing for around five minutes to regulate any bad emotions I'm feeling. Take a deep breath in, hold it for six seconds, then exhale six seconds and repeat as many times as needed. This very simple hack has helped me feel more grounded and connected with my emotions, which has improved the amount of stress I feel each day.

Clean

Sometimes when I feel stressed those emotions lead to bigger emotions, such as anger or sadness. One trick that helped me to ground my frustration was to clean something in my house. I noticed that the environment that you surround yourself in plays a huge role in the outcome of your actions. Engaging in simple tasks such as cleaning my room, reorganizing my drawers, or washing the dishes, really helps me take control of my emotions. This hack allowed me to feel refreshed in the environment that I was in and allowed me to focus better on everything I was doing. Not only does this simple hack calm me down, it also cleans the house. so I will be continuing to use this trick.
