In preparations for Thursday’s CCSD School Board meeting, the routine agenda was posted on CCSD’s website. The most notable business items are the attempted firings of Superintendent Jesus Jara and Board President Linda Cavazos.
Agenda Item 3.01 will discuss the possible termination of Superintendent Jara and going over his employment agreement. A possible reason for his removal is the thought that he hasn’t made a significant change in the development of students and families
3.02 will discuss the possible firing of school board president Linda Cavazos.
Item 6.02 will address anti-racism, equity and inclusion in the district. This topic has been a subject of concern at multiple past board meetings with numerous parents and staff members of CCSD speaking on it during public comment.
6.04 will propose possible calendar changes for the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 academic years.
Finally, items 6.07, 6.08 and 6.09 plan to go over CCEA’s, the CCSD teacher’s union, negotiations that influenced the last school board meeting. Read more about the last meeting here.
