NHS will be hosting an activity allowing the members an opportunity to get to know one another better.
“The activity we are going to do are making fortune tellers and each section is one of the pillars of NHS, scholarship, leadership, character and service,” President Julea Hofilena said. “I’m going to assign each one of those pillars to a corner and from there members will put goals under each one, and they will be working together so everyone knows each other’s goals.”
Board members hope to create a tight knit community within the club.
“I hope that members get to know more about one another and help each other out, especially with service hours,” Treasurer Elosia Valero said. “I feel with NHS, the people that are in the club are individualized, and it would be nice to create more friendships within the club.”

Already starting to compete, CGC board members are continuing to construct teamwork and community within the club.
“We have some people playing already and are matches that aren’t exactly playoffs for our league, but are in preseason and we currently have earned some wins so far,” President Alexis Hsi said. “I want members to communicate and feel comfortable with one another and gain better team and club synergy for school and competitive gaming alike.”
Due to lack of effectiveness within the club’s promotions, board members created a new position with the title of reporter which specializes in promoting the club and keeping track of meetings and events; many members stepped up wishing to take on this responsibility.
“I decided to do this position since I’ve been a part of this club since it started,” Reporter Janessa Calibuso said. “I would have more potential to be more than just a club member and it’s important because I believe it will help me get more engagement with other members and in general promote the club in a more efficient manner.”

To prepare new members for the rest of the year, FBLA plans to share their knowledge about the club.
“We are going to be doing booths where interested members can explore and learn about different competitions,” Vice President of State Relations Isabella Reyes said. “Each board member will be at a booth talking about their past experiences in competitions as well as requirements and we are also going to start setting up our communication channels and hopefully introduce the multiple events we do throughout the year.”
The board hopes that new members who consider committing to FBLA will enjoy their time in the club.
“I hope that members become more comfortable and relaxed in FBLA,” Vice President of Events Christian Reyes said. “I hope they start figuring out why they are joining FBLA as each person has their own reasons for being there and I hope that they find their own inspiration to be at FBLA and want to commit to the club.”
