“I plan on spending my night with my favorite people in the world,” senior Jordan Salas said. “I want that night to go down in my personal favorite history book and I’m sure it will. I can’t wait to dance the night away with friends and make some lasting memories before I graduate.”
The Class of 2019 chose the theme “A Midsummer Nights Dream” for the event, which will take place at Emerald at Queensridge on May 5. The venue will be indoors and outdoors.
“I’ve been to a couple of different proms this year already and I’ve personally been more excited for the one at our school,” StuCo member Anya Sagovnovic said. “The venue that we have is super pretty and spacious. [The] indoor and outdoor portion of the venue adds elegance to the dance.”
Entry for a raffle took place on Monday and Tuesday for $1, and the winner was announced on Rout(e) 131 this morning. The raffle awarded one winner with a free ticket to this year’s prom.
“As always, there will be food and snacks served at the dance,” Sagovnovic said. “Students will also have the option to purchase professionally-done photos. However, there will be a free photo booth at the dance for students not looking to pay money for pictures.”
Guest passes for the dance are now available in D105 and must be turned in before May 2, 2018.
“It’s the last school dance of our senior so I’m obviously really looking forward to prom,” senior Isabel Perez said. “I can’t wait to meet up with the friends the night before and put on face masks and spa treatments to get ready. I’m just really excited to spend my last official high school year with my friends.”
