HOSA will host their annual Fall Leadership Conference today. The conference will be held from 8 a.m – 2:30 p.m at the Cashman Center.
“I am mostly excited to hang out with HOSA members from around the city and to meet new people,” comments SWCTA HOSA Vice-President Raina Benford.
SWCTA HOSA officers are required to attend the conference, and all HOSA members are highly encouraged to join. The cost is $45, which includes a formal luncheon and etiquette lessons, which must be paid to the HOSA adviser Mrs. Vicki Smith.
During the conference, students will partake in workshops where they will play games and bond with other students. Career and Technical Student Organization members will also give presentations on leadership skills.
“I believe it’s beneficial because students learn various strategies to improve their clubs through team building activities, ice breakers and other things shared. Some years we have provided skills that each group does for competitive events,” explains Smith.
Skills USA, FBLA, and DECA officers and members are also invited to join the conference as well.
