Southwest Career and Technical Academy’s 2010-2011 yearbook, The Southwest Howl, was sent to the National Scholastic Press Association for an annual critique. The book received a first class rating.
“The whole staff worked extremely hard to try to make each page perfect. It feels amazing to receive recognition for our product,” states Southwest Howl Editor-in-Chief Elaine Wong.
The staff is proud of their finished product and currently working to produce this year’s book.
“I am very proud of our yearbook for winning an award, and we will surely win again this year!” says Southwest Shadow Editor in Chief Tazia Statucki.
Southwest Shadow and Southwest Howl advisor, Mr. Matthew LaPorte, constantly pushes them and dedicates numerous hours to the yearbook. He has set many goals for the yearbook this year.
“My goal this year is to create the most graphically exciting yearbook yet,” states LaPorte.
The theme for the 2011-2012 Southwest Howl is “24/7.” Be sure to pre-order your copy early to ensure the lowest price!
