Offering students a fun opportunity to help fundraise for prom, sophomores in Student Council will be holding their annual movie night. The featured film will be Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, on April 4 at 2 p.m.
“Students should attend movie night because it’s a great way to relax after a busy week,” junior Elizabeth Wigington said. “It’s a great way to be involved in school events and it’s always fun to watch movies with friends.”
The event will be held indoors to accommodate the earlier start time.
“I want to go to movie night because I have never been to one before, so I thought it would be really fun to go with friends this year,” junior Mia Villazante said. “I haven’t seen Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse yet, so I want to see it now.”
Tickets will go on sale this Thursday for $5. Students will be given free popcorn at the event.
“I usually attend a lot of the school’s events and I haven’t seen Into the Spider-Verse yet, so movie night seems like it’d be a fun and cheap opportunity for me to hang out with some friends,” junior Casey Joseph said.
Students are allowed to bring blankets and pillows, since they’ll be sitting on the floor.
“The goal is for this movie night is to raise more than $100 and hopefully have a success,” sophomore Jaylin DeGuzman said. “I also hope to we can get as many people to come as possible to meet our goal.”
