Dear Diary, the school week has finally come to an end, yet I’m still itching for something to do. You would think I would be sleeping for hours on end by now—but I’m just at home bored out of my mind. Maybe I should gather all my friends together, it’s been a while. Oh wait, I don’t have any friends.

Dear Diary, I tried calling my relatives, but I guess they’re still scared of how I spent my Winter Break. Oh well, I’ll just spend all the fun in the sun with me, myself and I. That’s right! I’ll exercise for all of this week—no junk food, just healthy eating and sweat. But first, I wonder what Steam games are on sale?

Dear Diary, SLEEP HAS NOT BEEN AN ISSUE FOR THE PAST 22 HOURS. I FOUND MY DAD’S STASH OFREDBULL ENERGY DRINKS. I’VE FINISHED METAL GEAR SOLID V AND I’M ALREADY ON THE SIXTH SEASON OF ‘HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER.’ MAYBE I CAN REWATCH THE SERIES TO GET A HEAD START ON TOMORROW.

Dear Diary, roughly three minutes after my last entry, I crashed on my desk. I’ve been asleep ever since and have multiple bed sheet marks on my face. That’s a sign of a good nap. I guess I should actually do something productive.

Dear Diary, I decided to escape the grasp of my bed and enter the outside world. The light embracing my skin and the sound of children playing… It disgusts me. The sheer sight of someone else being filled with joy tempts me to tape my eyes shut.
March 25th
Dear Diary, after spending hours on end complaining and venting my feelings on a sheet of paper, I got bored. But not the typical “I have nothing to do” kind of bored, it was the “if I don’t find something to do soon—I will consume my own body weight in shrimp and soda.”

Dear Diary, I was just at the brink of ending up on my doctor’s no-fry list, but I found a pine cone and stick to play with. One with the perfect balance of brown and a beautiful natural look to it—I threw it away once I remembered I had a computer, TV and a phone to occupy my time.

Dear Diary, this is it, the last day of spring break. I can safely say that I have spent my only week away from this year productively. Not only did I complete a variety of sitcoms in one sitting, I achieved inner peace by spending a week in solitude. Absolutely nothing can bring me down—except maybe for that article I needed to write.
