Psychology Club, 1st and 3rd Tuesdays
Adviser: Benjamin LaCombe
Room: H211
To expose members to professional opinions, Psychology Club will be hosting a meeting with Jeffery Raskin, a world renowned neurosurgeon, via video call.
“He will be able to answer any questions the members may have concerning neurology,” Vice President Zoe Nunez said. “It’s a rare opportunity to meet such an accredited person in such a prestigious career. We’re looking forward to the members getting involved in asking questions and getting the discussion flowing.”
Board members worked extensively with Raskin to set up this meeting.
“Mr. Lacombe knows him as a friend, so it wasn’t hard to start getting in contact with him,” Nunez said. “However, it was difficult to work with his busy schedule, and we are so grateful that he was gracious enough to block out some of his time for us.”

Continuing tradition, NHS will be hosting a cookie decorating meeting for the Halloween season.
“I remember loving it last year when I was a member,” Vice President Emma Kodjanian said. “Everyone can have a good time decorating cookies, listening to music, and talking with their friends. It’ll just be a nice, chill meeting for the members to enjoy.”
NHS will also be preparing for the first fundraiser of the year.
“We typically have a fall and spring fundraiser during the school year,” President Julea Holfilena said. “Our fall fundraiser will be selling a variety of packaged treats. Each of our members will be receiving a box and they are required to sell. “

AASA board will inform members on Indonesia and its culture.
“We plan to make an informational slideshow, as well as plan cultural based activities for the members to participate in,” President Ziying Chen said. “The activities help to get members involved in learning and allow them to socialize with each other. We have a very social group of members and they love being able to participate in cultural activities together.”
The board hopes to expand member’s knowledge on different Asian countries.
“We do this to spread the cultures of Asian countries that may not be well popular,” Chen said. “We want to show people that there’s more [countries] that are worth knowing rather than just knowing the typical countries like Japan, Korea, and the Philippines.”
