TSA plans to inform members about the different competitions and help them choose a category they are passionate about.
“We will be doing some mock competitions that will be happening [at the] state conference,” President Janis Laconico said. “This will just give our members a good idea of what to expect or maybe help them decide which competitions they want to participate in.”
The board wants members to understand the expectations of TSA competitions, as well as choose a topic of interest.
“We hope that members find a competition they might be interested in and start preparing to compete in them,” Vice President of Finance Jessica Dawoud said. “The more interested the members are in the competitions, proves that we are doing our jobs right as board members; that’s why we promote all the competitions TSA offers so much.”

HOSA will share more information about the club and have guest speakers from Nevada HOSA, the Vice President and State Secretary, and they will be talking about annual competitions and personal experiences.
“I hope the meeting clears up a lot of fog about SLC, because I know in previous years, it has been a little bit unclear about what it is,” President Willam Deng said. “I hope that with the involvement from the State officers, we can get a little more participation in SLC and help people to be motivated.”
HOSA will take part in a fundraiser during Movie Night on September 27.
“HOSA has decided to stray away from the norm of what other clubs will be selling and instead, be selling polaroids,” Vice President Justin Solano said. “We plan to create props and decorations for students attending movie night to utilize; high school is only for a short period of time, and selling polaroids is the perfect way for people to cherish memories that will last a lifetime.”

Then members attending RTC will start learning chants, RTC is the Regional Training Conference where Key clubs from different schools will be in informative workshops about a variety of topics as well as partake in a spirit competition.
“We will provide our members with the service activity where they will help all of the RTC attendees create spirit gear and help with all the decorations that we need for RTC,” President Ella Abliar said. “Then after, all the non RTC attendees will leave and the people who are attending RTC are going to be practicing all of our cheers.”
The board hopes members will get closer together and keep high spirit and passion within the club.
“Overall, I hope everyone gets to know each other and bond with people they may not talk to as often,” Vice President of Spirit Ervien Illidan said. “For the RTC portion, I hope to make sure everyone understands how each chant will be recited, to keep spirit high and give them an overall idea of how RTC will be and feel like.”
