Students will be taking semester exams from December 14 - December 17.

Students interpret their thoughts on the War of 1812 by making political cartoons in APUSH.
DECA members and officers were officially inducted into the organization and were tasked to pledge a promise to the club. Their induction marks the beginning of preparation for a state-wide competition, which focuses on what the members have learned through the past year. “DECA was a good opportunity to learn about business. Students are gaining real-world experience and the chance to have something they made be put into print.
Signing up to volunteer for the final exam project sheet in English 101, senior Regan Thomas begins creating her rubric. Students can decide which organization they would like to volunteer for or send a care package if they chose to do outreach. “For this project, I decided to reach out to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. This organization raises money and awareness towards people living with type one diabetes,” Thomas said. “I am really excited for this project because I love getting involved with the community and giving back through community service. English 10 creates ‘Sleepy Hollow’ newspapers

English 10 students are utilizing ideas from "Sleepy Hollow" to create newspapers to present to the class on December 3.
Rehearsing the skills needed to do clinicals, senior Shinikee Garcia and Vincent Garcia check senior Michael Ennis’ pulse. Students began clinicals on Friday and will be learning the perks of being a CNA. “At first, I was nervous to go to clinicals because it’s very different interacting with a mannequin or a classmate you’ve known for a while compared to actual patients,” Garcia said. “However, when I got to the facility everyone was welcoming and the residents were really nice. The residents are all veterans who have been through a lot so it’s comforting to see a smile on their face while helping with daily activities like changing their bed.”  Photo Credit: Cassandra Trummel

The holiday marks the first consecutive four days of no school since the beginning of the year.
Getting students to contribute to the community instead of doing nothing during detention, the Student Success Office has established community service for students to serve time for their tardies.  “The tardy policy exists to help students understand the importance of being on time for classes and not disrupt the learning environment by coming in late,” Assistant Principal Arlene Andrade said.
