Covid-19 update for 4/2 By: Grinesa bajrami

Please excuse the break in updated COVID-19 coverage. Technology issues interrupted our continuous updates.

#1 The Current Count

There are currently 1,016,413 reported cases around the world, with 245,175 of those cases being in the United States. 53,238 people have died due to coronavirus related deaths, with 6,142 of those being in the United States. In Nevada, there have been 1,279 confirmed cases and 32 deaths.

#2 In the United States

Since the United States has the most confirmed cases of coronavirus, supplies are beginning to run low. According to an official of the Trump administration, the U.S. is paying Russia to send an entire planeload of medical equipment.

#3 In Nevada

While working at Desert Pines High School, a food distributer contracted coronavirus and tragically passed away. Due to this, the distribution site will be closed. A deep clean will occur and the site will reopen on a later and unknown date.

#4 In Other News

Due to a lack of blood, the F.D.A. has loosened their restrictions on gay and bisexual men donating blood. Since the 1980s, gay and bisexual men could not donate blood. However, due to the need for blood, the F.D.A. is now encouraging as many people as possible to donate blood, including gay and bisexual men.

#5 If You're Bored

Since everyone is now practicing social distancing, it does become boring. However, many new craft challenges have risen all over social media, including sewing, painting and dying.
