In a school setting, having friends is one of the most important things that will help us survive high school. Not to mention, having peers might make school more enjoyable. The year has just just begun, and as we all advance, our friendships grow stronger as well. We’d like to know what you believe makes a good friend.

In my opinion, I think a good friend is always there for you. They genuinely care about you, they are willing to help you, and they go out of their way to do kind things for you. You should reciprocate these things back as well.

A good friend is dependable and someone that you can trust and easily get along with. They’re someone that makes you feel like you could be your true and genuine self without getting judged. A good and decent friend will put in the effort for you, understand you, and help you when you need it.

What makes a good friend is paying attention to them, sometimes some people can get off track during conversations and it can seem like you don’t care for them. Being kind to one another is also a great quality for being a friend, making sure they feel safe around you and making sure that you are not invalidating their feelings.
