As we are starting a new year, each approaching season brings its own activities. Whether you like swimming in the summer or playing in the snow during winter, The Southwest Shadow would like to hear what your favorite season is and why.

![Many food trends gain attention because of viral influencers or appealing visual aspects. This has continually drawn approval and admiration from consumers before they had even tried the product. “Food trends [are popular] because it’s such a big build-up, especially from influencers,” junior Myles Jenkins said. “They think something’s cool, then they post it everywhere on social media, and then other people just want to do it so they can experience it and post about it. My Favorite season is actually winter. The cold weather, the winter sports, snow, everything about winter is awesome. My favorite sports are football and hockey. There is nothing better in this world than a snow game or just skating on the ice. I also love the weather. I’ve always said cold is better than hot for the sole reason that you can put layers on, but there’s a limit to how many layers you can take off.

My favorite season of the year is fall because the weather is cooler but still comfortable, and everything feels calmer. I love the changing colors of the leaves and how it’s the perfect time for cozy clothes, warm drinks, and spending time outside without it being too hot.

My favorite season of the year is winter. Despite the bipolar weather we get each year, this season has the best activities, and the holidays bring everyone together. I hang out with my friends the most during this time, doing things like ice skating or walking around the mall to shop. Winter also gives you the best opportunity to showcase your winter style. I love creating my own outfits and seeing what other people come up with. Overall, winter offers great opportunities to bring everyone together and celebrate the winter season!

Winter is definitely the best season. In Vegas, it’s not too cold, and it’s better than the burning summer. Warming up is easier than cooling down.

Fall, the reason fall is my favorite season is because its a nice cool time of year, pumpkin pie can be eaten, and you can wear warm and comfortable clothes.

My favorite season is spring because it is not too hot or too cold, and the weather is perfect. There are so many activities you can do, like swimming, playing sports, and going to the park. All of the other seasons are either too hot or too cold. In the fall, everyone is just inside for the whole “It’s fall, time to stay inside and be cozy” vibe. People in the spring are out because they are tired of staying inside all winter and fall.

Fall is my favorite season because the weather is cooler but not too cold, making it perfect for spending time outside. I enjoy going to football games and Halloween events, wearing hoodies, and watching the leaves change color. Fall feels calm yet still fun, and it’s a relaxing break between the heat of summer and the cold of winter.

My favorite season is summer because I have more time off to spend with my friends and family. Whether it is swimming or simply hanging out at home, I love the time I am able to spend with them. I also love how I get to sleep in more because when I get up early, I noticed that I tend to get more tired easily.

For me, Fall has always been my favorite season. I’ve always been someone who preferred the cold over the heat, because at least with the cold, you can keep adding layers until you’re warm. Fall is a season that not only contains holidays like Halloween and Thanksgiving for me, but also doesn’t share the same freezing temperatures that winter can reach. On top of its more manageable temperatures, I’ve always loved the vibes and look of Fall more than any other season. The warmer tone that the trees take on as their leaves fall always gets me in the mood of the season.

My favorite season of the year is spring. Spring has so many great things like spring break, the ripest strawberries and cherries, blossoming flowers and rain, and my birthday! Though the weather can get unpredictable through march, I really enjoy the change in climate and enjoy the few weeks of rain!
