“We just elected our new board,” President Tyrah Lamay said. “They’ll be shadowing us as we start preparing for our Coyote Olympics performance.”
Working with their new board, the club is laying out the foundation for this performance, deciding on songs and the roles of performers.
“We started picking a song to do,” Lamay said. “We’re getting people together who want to perform and it’s going well.”

Adviser: Kristina Haley
Room: C123
Amnesty International Club will be focusing their next meeting on freedom, as well as forms of expression, such as brainstorming ways to advocate for it.
“This week is about freedom and expression,” President Gurnoor Gill said. “Last meeting, we talked about how we could help promote it in schools and thought of ways, like creating bracelets.”
The club also hopes to have the school participate in a spirit week focused on these topics, similar to Black Student Union (BSU) spirit weeks.
“We’re thinking of doing a freedom of expression spirit week,” Gill said. “Next meeting, we’re going to discuss the final details of our plans to promote it.”
L.I.F.T./Bible Club, Thursdays
Adviser: Dionne Reicher, Kailee Dudoit
Room: H121
L.I.F.T./Bible Club will spend the next meeting watching movies that inspire Christ-centered lifestyles, taking a break from their usual routine of studying certain topics and the Bible.
“We will be having our movie day,” President Sharon Gonzalez Martin said. “We will just watch movies that encourage having a Christian or Christ-centered lifestyle.”
Recently, the club spent the month of February discussing love in relation to God and will continue to discuss different topics in their following meetings.
“We usually study certain topics,” Martin said. “We take a look at what the Bible has to say, looking at different books in the Bible and popular verses.”
